Aurora Wood Designs 2017

A collection of exotic woods we've created into something wonderful with passion

Our Board Butter is a blend of food safe mineral oil and beeswax.

Applying Board Butter to your board will condition and protect it from drying out and prevent it from cracking. Buttering your board also prevents bacteria from forming in the cuts of the board.

To apply Board Butter, rub a small amount of butter on the surface, edges and bottom of the board. Allow it to absorb for several hours before wiping off any excess with a dry cloth. Buff to a lusterous shine with a soft cloth.

Wipe your board with a damp cloth for everyday use. For a heavily soiled board, wash in warm soapy water and towel dry immediately. Stand on edge to allow it to dry completely before storing.

Never lay your damp board on a flat surface.

Never soak your board or leave in standing water.

Never place in the dishwasher.

To clean a heavily soiled board, apply 1 Tbsp Kosher salt to your board. With a lemon cut in half, place the open end on the salt and rub in a circular motion. Wash with warm soapy water and towel dry immediately.

All of our cutting boards are pre-seasoned with food grade mineral oil, and finished with a blend of mineral oil and beeswax.

Your new cutting board should be seasoned to adjust to its new environment. By applying Board Butter on a weekly basis for the first 4 weeks, this will condition the board to adjust to your homes environment. We recommend a monthly treatment to prevent the board from drying out and possibly cracking.

Protect your investment and ensure longevity of your board, and it will last for generations. It's as simple as following the instructions provided with each board.
